A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get email messages from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be incredibly easy in case you’ve got a cloud hosting with our company. You can enable the feature through our powerful, yet easy-to-use Email Manager tool, which is an indivisible part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer your account. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you’ve set up enumerated in alphabetical order and on the right side of each one there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly inform you if a particular mailbox stores all the emails associated with a certain domain or not. With one single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature whenever you wish. In case there’s enabled email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you’ll receive an alert from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be activated without any difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you have set up with the domain names hosted in the account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will find a small sign conveniently located right next to each one of them. With just one click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable this option using the context menu that will surface. If any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will notify you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
